India and Pakistan have exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control for the second consecutive day following a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that killed 26 people, mostly Indian tourists. The attack, claimed by the militant group Kashmir Resistance, has led to a sharp deterioration in bilateral relations. India has suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, revoked Pakistani visas, and closed land borders. In response, Pakistan has halted Indian visas, closed its airspace to Indian airlines, and suspended bilateral trade. Military clashes have also flared, with Indian troops reporting overnight fire from Pakistani posts along the Line of Control for two consecutive nights, though there were no reported casualties. Meanwhile, Indian forces have intensified a crackdown in Kashmir, detaining 1,500 individuals and destroying homes of suspected militants
