May 13, 2025 – New Delhi:
In a nationally televised address on Monday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke directly to the people of India, providing reassurance amid heightened security concerns following recent military operations along the India-Pakistan border.
With a calm yet resolute tone, Prime Minister Modi began by saluting the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces. He praised their courage and professionalism during Operation Sindoor, which was launched in response to hostile activities along the Line of Control (LoC).
“India’s soldiers have once again shown the world that our commitment to peace should never be mistaken for weakness,” Modi said. “We seek harmony, but we will not hesitate to act when our nation’s security is threatened.”
The Prime Minister explained that the operation was highly coordinated and supported by cutting-edge technology, including satellite intelligence provided by ISRO. He assured citizens that a temporary ceasefire has been established, but emphasized that the situation remains under close observation.
“This is not the time for fear or panic,” he said. “This is the time for discipline, unity, and national resolve. Let us remain calm, support one another, and trust our institutions.”
Modi also urged citizens to refrain from spreading rumors or unverified information on social media, highlighting the importance of responsible communication during sensitive times. “False news and panic can do more harm than any external threat,” he warned.
In his speech, the Prime Minister also touched on the broader vision for India’s future, stating that national security and economic development must go hand in hand. He reiterated his government’s commitment to protecting every citizen while continuing to push forward with reforms and growth.
“India’s path forward is strong, secure, and full of promise,” he said. “We will face every challenge with courage. We will turn every test into an opportunity.”
The address ended with a heartfelt appeal for national unity. Modi called on all Indians—regardless of region, religion, or background—to stand together in solidarity, support the armed forces, and place their trust in the strength of the nation.
“India stands tall today,” he concluded. “And as long as we walk together as one people, nothing can break us.”
