In a significant counter-insurgency operation, the Assam Rifles eliminated 10 suspected militants near New Samtal village in Manipur's Chandel district, close to the India-Myanmar border. The region has witnessed a surge in insurgent activities, with various militant groups exploiting the porous 398-kilometer-long border between India and Myanmar. The Assam Rifles and other security agencies continue to maintain heightened vigilance along the Indo-Myanmar border to curb insurgent activities and ensure regional stability.
